“I choose to make the rest of my life the best of my life.” Louise Hay
“Avoiding problems you need to face is avoiding the life you need to live.” Paulo Coelho
“Everyone is trying to accomplish something big, not realizing that life is made up of little things.” Frank A. Clark
“Stop existing in life and start living in life. Stop accepting influence from your Parkinson’s, and start challenging its impact on your life. Living upstages existing.” Frank C. Church
Life is _____: The original idea for this blog post started relatively simple by asking, “How does one live following the advice from the first two quotes above?” Then I added the third quote. Then I figured why not make it more complicated, and I added the fourth quote.
Life. Big word. It could be simple or complex. It could be short- or long-lived. Life could be linear (no repetition) or cyclic (deliberately repeating events, jobs), ultimately amassing your life profile and experiences. Life could be happy or sad, healthy or not, prosperous or not, and love-filled or not. The door to life opens and begins fresh each day. Therefore, as you enter the day, embrace the events knowing that the challenge of Parkinson’s remains. Remember, no matter the impact of the disorder on you; you remain you.
